Umbrella House Two

A Vacation cabin prototype design built on the Umbrella House principles. A compact flooplan for a 2 bedroom cabin features an open central living space with a bed/bath suite placed as bookends on either side. The plan is inspired by Umbrella House One, adapted to a one story design and pared down as appropriate for a vacation cabin. Like the original, it features a fourteen foot wide fold/slide door that opens the central bay to the landscape beyond, generous oversized windows, sheltering roof overhangs, and an exterior cladding designed with special attention to durability and low maintenance.
